Emeralites attended the Round Square Zoom Postcard, organised by Colegio Gran Bretaña, Colombia on the theme, Screen time: Disconnect to Connect on 19th June 2024. The event brought together around 80 participants from 14 schools in 5 countries (Argentina, Colombia, India, Perú and South Africa).
The session began with the introductions followed by activity, puzzle hunt where the delegates had to decipher technology without having the full picture. In the Baraza rooms, the delegates were posed with quite intellectual questions relating to proper usage and rules for screen time. These included a decrease in physical activity levels, emotional well-being difficulties, and poor academic outcomes due to elongated mobile phone utilization. The delegates had fruitful discussions and learned about the screen time restrictions posed in different nations. The discussion was very fruitful.
The student delegates represented our school were Tiana Jain, Medhansh Bais, Darsh Sitlani, Milan Mukati and Khwaish Agrawal of Class-X and Aarav Maley of Class-XI. The teacher in charge for the event was Mr. Rajesh Pushpad.
