A Moment of Glory for the Nation, the State, and Our School

We are immensely proud to announce that India has emerged victorious at the World Schools Debating Championship (WSDC) 2025, held in Panama, clinching the title for only the second time in history with a resounding 9-0 win over Australia in the finals!

Adding to this triumph, two brilliant minds from The Emerald Heights were part of this historic journey:

  • Manveer Pratap Rathore, Class XI
  • Avni Kaur Chadha, Alumna, Batch of 2025

Representing India among a five-member national team, they debated their way through a rigorous competition featuring 60+ countries, defeating top contenders with exceptional skill, logic, and eloquence.

Team India’s Journey at WSDC 2025:

  • Preliminary Rounds: 7 wins out of 8 – including 3-0 against Pakistan
  • Octofinals: Beat New Zealand 5-0
  • Quarterfinals: Beat Bangladesh 5-0
  • Semifinals: Narrow win over Hong Kong 4-3
  • Finals: Unanimous victory against Australia 9-0

This milestone is a testament to their dedication, intellect, and indomitable spirit.

We extend our heartiest congratulations to Manveer and Avni for representing Emerald Heights, Indore, and India with such distinction on the world stage. You have made us proud beyond words!
