Sathi, our Community Service Club, embarked on a meaningful initiative in collaboration with the Indore Bilingual Deaf and Mute Academy, aimed at fostering awareness, empathy and inclusivity among our students.
As part of the initiative, a team of 8–10 trainers conducted an engaging and interactive Sign Language Session for our Junior and Senior Club students. The session introduced students to basic signs, gestures and commonly used everyday phrases, encouraging them to explore new ways of communication while developing a deeper understanding of the importance of inclusivity.
Taking the initiative forward, Sathi plans to extend sign language learning across the school, with participating students teaching basic signs and commonly used phrases to their fellow students. This student-led effort will help spread awareness, encourage empathy and contribute towards building a more inclusive and accessible school community.
Through initiatives like these, Sathi continues to encourage students to turn awareness into action and make a meaningful difference within their community.
