Emeralites participated in the Round Square Zoom Postcard organised by Michael Ham Memorial College, Buenos Aires, Argentina on 11 June 2025. The theme of the conference was, “Ignite the Change: Local Voices, Global Impact” wherein 60 students of 12 schools from 6 countries participated.
Our students presented their project “Lumia: Totes of Hope”, a student-led service initiative aimed at recycling old denim jeans into eco-friendly tote bags. These bags were showcased and sold at exhibition, and the proceeds were donated to charity.
During the meet, participants engaged in meaningful discussions on various environmental threats and explored sustainable solutions. A key focus was on reducing the use of plastic and microplastics, and promoting eco-friendly alternatives made from coconut or other natural tree fibers.
The student delegates from our school were Somya Lalwani, Koena Batham, Anviti Doshi, Shrayti Neema, Dhairya Soni of Class-XII and Darsh Sitlani Of Class-XI.
