The awareness programme on cyber security was conducted at our school on 23 August 2024 offered crucial insights into the world of online safety. The session was incredibly informative and tailored perfectly to the needs of our students, who are becoming increasingly active in the digital space. The session began with the basics of online safety and gradually delved into more complex topics such as phishing, identity theft, and data protection.
The programme facilitator, Mr. Rajesh Dandotiya (IPS), Additional DCP, Crime Branch, Indore presented the content in a way that was both engaging and accessible. From the basics of creating strong passwords to understanding more advanced topics like malware and cyberbullying, the workshop covered a wide spectrum of issues that are highly relevant to today’s youth.
The facilitator used real-world scenarios to demonstrate how easily one can fall victim to cyber threats and, more importantly, how to avoid them. The interactive segments, where students participated in identifying phishing emails and spotting suspicious online behaviour, were particularly effective in reinforcing the lessons learned.
The workshop was a resounding success. It not only equipped students with the knowledge and skills to protect themselves online but also fostered a greater awareness of cybersecurity issues.
