Emeralites participated in the Round Square Zoom Postcard, organised by San Silvestre School, Peru on 26th June, 2024 on the theme, “Our future running dry: the threat of water scarcity”. The event brought together around 45 participants from 9 schools in five countries (Argentina, UAE, India, Kenya and Perú).
The students got to know about the problems of water scarcity faced by different countries all over the globe and what are the factors responsible for the same. Also, they discussed how various countries tackle this problem strategically and sustainably, keeping their geographic locations in mind. There was a platform for everyone to express their views through the means of questionnaire round. The students were divided into groups of 8 to 9 participants, which helped the discussion to take place efficiently and made possible for everyone to be heard. They learned about the diverse and meticulous plans initiated by the government of different countries to prevent water scarcity.
The student delegates represented our school were Yatishree Mittal, Yashika Rajdev, Dhairya Soni, Somya Lalwani, Koena Batham and Saksham Dembla of Class-XI. The teacher in-charge for the Zoom Postcard was Mr. Laxman Lalwani.
