38th National Games of India
Pradhyumna Singh Rathod bagged a gold medal in Canoe Slalom at the 38th National Games, held in Uttarakhand from January 28 to February 14, 2025.
Pradhyumna also bagged a gold medal for MP in the Men’s U-18 event (Canoe Slalom) category at the 5th Khelo India Youth Games.
2024 ICF Canoe Slalom Final World Cup
Pradhyumna secured 31st place in the second heats in senior category of K-1 at the 2024 ICF Canoe Slalom Final World Cup, held in La Seu d’Urgell, Spain from 19-22 September 2024.
Pradhyumna created history by becoming the first Indian paddler to participate in the senior category and achieving the best rank by any Indian paddler till date.
The 2024 Canoe Slalom World Cup was the highest level season-long series of competitions across six canoe slalom disciplines organized by the International Canoe Federation (ICF). It was the 37th edition and featured five stops (or races) in five different venues.
Euro-Asian Championship
Pradhyumna achieved the prestigious Best Youngest Paddler Award at the Euro-Asian Championship, which took place in Altai, Russia from July 27th to July 30th, 2023. This championship saw participation from over 150 athletes in this category.
Pradhyumna showcased exceptional talent and dedication, securing the top spot in the quarter-final, which led him to qualify for the semi-finals of K-1.
2023 ICF Junior and U23 Canoe Slalom World Championships
Pradhyumna achieved a remarkable 35th placement in the 2023 ICF Junior and U23 Canoe Slalom World Championships held in Krakow, Poland from 15th to 20th August, 2023.
This outstanding performance by Pradhyumna marks the highest rank attained by any Indian participant in the history of World Championships.
As a testament to his exceptional skills, he has earned a well-deserved spot in the upcoming Senior World Championships and Olympic Qualifiers scheduled to take place in London this September.
