Our alumna, Kainat Zakarya (Class of 2019) is making a difference through the Teach for India Fellowship

We are very proud to share that our alumna, Kainat Zakarya (Class of 2019), is making a difference through the Teach for India Fellowship.

Kainat is passionate about making an impact and helping uplift people at the grassroots level. She says she was ‘disturbed’ by the extent of ed-inequity in India. As a graduate of Political Science from New York University, Abu Dhabi, she wanted to leverage her learnings and gain practical knowledge about ground realities.
Driven by her passion to address educational inequity, Kainat is innovating learning experiences for her second-grade students in New Delhi. From interactive modules to story-reading sessions and critical thinking workshops, she’s bridging gaps and unlocking potential.

Kainat’s dedication is inspiring, and her impact is tangible. Her work with students like Maira, who’ve shown remarkable improvement, is a testament to the power of consistent effort and care.

We celebrate Kainat’s commitment to empowering education.
