Emerald Heights had the privilege of hosting Padma Shri Smt. P. T. Ushaji, fondly celebrated as ‘The Payyoli Express’, along with Shri V. Srinivasan Sir as the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour, for the inauguration of Madhya Pradesh’s first Level-2 Certified Athletics Track on our campus.
The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the lamp and the flag hoisting. A spirited March Past by 23 prestigious schools from across India set the tone for the All India IPSC Boys’ Athletics Tournament 2025-26.
The most momentous highlight was the inauguration of the state-of-the-art athletics track by Padma Shri Smt. P. T. Ushaji, an enduring icon of Indian sports whose remarkable journey continues to inspire generations. The day also featured a graceful cultural performance, the athletes’ oath-taking, and the commencement of competitions, beginning with the Under-17 Boys’ 800m race.
