Earth Day Celebration with Enthusiasm and Environmental Awareness at Emerald Heights

Our school joyfully celebrated Earth Day on 22 April with great enthusiasm, spreading a strong message of environmental awareness and responsibility.

The celebration began with a special assembly, where teachers presented a meaningful skit emphasising that it is our collective duty to keep the Earth clean and green. The skit highlighted simple yet impactful habits such as conserving water, preventing water pollution, avoiding deforestation, watering plants regularly, and using dustbins for proper waste disposal.

Following the assembly, our Nursery students engaged in a hands-on STEM activity that helped them understand the importance of watering plants and nurturing nature. They also participated in a sorting activity, where they learned to differentiate between wet and dry waste, gaining practical knowledge about waste management in an engaging manner.
The LKG and UKG students carried out a germination activity, reinforcing the message of planting more trees to protect and sustain our environment. Their enthusiasm and active involvement made the activity both enjoyable and meaningful.
Students of Classes I and II contributed to the celebration by delivering short speeches during the special assembly, expressing their thoughts on saving the Earth. They also took part in a plantation drive within the school campus, demonstrating their commitment to environmental care.
The celebration concluded with a collective pledge taken by all students to protect the environment and adopt eco-friendly habits in their daily lives. The day served as a reminder that even small actions can make a big difference in preserving our planet for future generations.
