The Emerald Heights International School hosted the Round Square Conference 2024, centered around sustainability with the theme, ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’, reinforced through a keynote speech by Mr. Dev Vasudevan who taught students about birds and their integral role in our environment which led to engaging baraza discussions.
The conference was organized from 4th to 6th January 2024, where delegates of seventeen schools from all across the country participated.
Students implemented their learnings through a Sirpur Lake trip, a Ramsar Site for bird watching and activities where they learnt how to minimize waste.
Students also embarked on community service projects, visiting 6 different venues, from old age homes to school for hearing and visually challenged students, where they engaged in interactive activities and distributed bags and shirts they had decorated on their own, embracing the theme of the world as one. The conference ended with a trip to the historic site of Mandu and cultural performances that allowed students to showcase their heritage.
