Emeralites participated in the Round Square Zoom Postcard event, organized by Trivandrum International School, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala on 29 November 2023 virtually. The event brought together around 100 participants from 21 schools in 13 countries including Argentina, Canada, Chile, Ecuador, Germany, India, Kenya, Pakistan, Peru, South Africa, South Korea, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
The theme of the Round Square Postcard was, Our Ecosystem: Its main issues and initiatives or action taken to address those issues and promote sustainable management of resources. There were discussions in different Barraza rooms on deserts, grasslands, tundra, forests and marine. The students learned how biodiversity is essential for ecosystem stability, resilience and the overall health of the planet.
The students who represented our school were Maitri Sharma, Siddhi Bohra, Palakahi Rander, Pari Agrawal and Niral Mahajan of Class-XI and Somya Lalwani of Class-X.
