Anshika Gupta and Yana Rathore won Silver medal and 6th position respectively in Shooting at the 3rd edition of the Khelo India Youth Games 2020 held from January 10-22, 2020 at Guwahati, Assam, India. They were competing in 10m Air Rifle Shooting Girls Under-17 / Junior category. Anshika will be receiving scholarship worth ₹5,00,000 each year for 9 years. She has also participated in the 2nd edition of Khelo India.
Yana won Bronze medals in 1st and 2nd edition of Khelo India and she is receiving scholarship worth ₹5,00,000 each year for 9 years.
In the 3rd edition of the Khelo India, Raghav Gupta and Eshita Sharma of Class-XI of our school also participated in the shooting event in 10m Air Pistol Mix Team category.
Shubham Patel Class-X of our school represents M.P. Team at the Khelo India Football Tournament in Under-17 category.
Sanidhay Sharma Class-XII also selected in Judo in Boys’ Under-17 category.
This year’s Khelo India held in twenty disciplines played among the age groups of under-17 and under-21 with the participation of thirty seven states and Union Territories.
Khelo India’s vision is to revive the India sports from the grass-root level. Khelo India Youth games has been introduced to establish India as a sporting super power by building a strong framework for all sports played in our country and reviving the sports culture in India. Every year best performing 1000 participants are given an annual scholarship of ₹500,000 for 8 years to prepare them for international sporting events.
