His Excellency, Shri VP Singhji Badnore, Hon’ble Governor of Punjab Inaugurates MP’s 1st International Standard Banked Skating Track at the Emerald Heights

His Excellency, Shri Vijayender Pal
Singhji Badnore, Honorable Governor of Punjab inaugurates Madhya Pradesh’s
first international standard Banked Skating Track at the Emerald Heights International
School on December 06, 2019. Mr. Muktesh Singh, President, Mr. Siddharth Singh,
Director and Mrs. Harshita Singh, Headmistress Emerald Heights were also
present on the occasion. Honorable Governor said that he is impressed with the
interest youth of Indore have towards sports. He said sports not only help in
keeping fit but the sports spirit also helps us in the future. Mr. Siddharth
Singh told that the banked track is constructed keeping in mind the
international parameters and, it will provide an edge to our students preparing
for the national and international competitions. After the inauguration our
skaters did skating on the track.

After the inauguration Honorable
Governor addressed the students and teachers wherein he told about the role of
school and its responsibility in nurturing the young minds, the teachers are
role models for the students and role of youth in transforming India. He said technology
should be made available and accessible to children and also talked about
social entrepreneurship. Lastly, he shared three main principles of Guru Nanak
Devji which are, Pray to God and Thankful to God for what you have, Believe in
Good Karma and, Share what you have with others.

After his speech, he felicitated
the winners of international and national competitions in sports, academics and
visual arts competitions of our school. In the end there was a beautiful dance
performance by our students.

The
school believes in providing world class infrastructure to its students and
keeping alive the same the school has introduced the banked skating track which
will encourage them in giving their best in the competitions.
